We remember his birthday today -- May 1, 1947.

He would have been 62.

He died at age 21, in service to his country at Quang Ngai, Vietnam, protecting the lives of the other young men in his unit, D Company, 4th Battalion, 3rd Infantry Regiment, 11th Infantry Brigade, U.S. Army.
